Bitter Melon Salad Korean Namul Style

Can’t take credit for the recipe on this one. Here is the link for the original recipe (In Japanese though). I usually stay away from recipe using sugar, or omit sugar if I think it’ll taste as good. But I did use the sugar just a tiny bit to be true to the original recipe this time. Lots of black pepper is the key.
I kind of liked it more when I let it sit in the fridge for a day.

INGREDIENTS:

  • Bitter Melon (Med 1)
  • *Salt (1 tsp)
  • *Pepper ( 1 tsp)
  • *Sesame Oil ( 2 tbsp)
  • *Minced Garlic (1/2 tsp)
  • *Vinegar ( 3tbsp)
  • *Sugar ( 1/2 tsp)

DIRECTION:

  1. Prep the bitter melon the same way as my previous post.
  2. Mix in * to make vinegrette. Pour over bitter melon. Toss and coat well with the dressing. Put it in the fridge for a few hours. Serve.
